Carolina Conceptions has been one of the only private-practice fertility clinics in the Triangle since 2006. We are not owned by a hospital. We are not part of a private-equity chain. Every physician completed an additional two to three years of fellowship training after OB/GYN residency, and passed board exams for both specialties. That's a standard most fertility clinics don't hold.

From a first diagnostic visit to a multi-cycle IVF programme — every plan is built with your specific diagnosis, history, and goals in mind. We always name the alternatives.
The complete cycle — controlled stimulation, monitored egg retrieval, fertilisation in our CAP-accredited lab, and embryo transfer with close luteal support. Embryos can be fresh-transferred or frozen for a later cycle.
A lower-intervention first step — washed, concentrated sperm placed in the uterus at the optimal moment of ovulation, often paired with monitored stimulation.

From your first consultation to a pregnancy test is typically 8 to 12 weeks — a few weeks for diagnostics and planning, then a 4 to 6 week active cycle. We do not rush the preparation phase; that is often where the outcome is made.
Absolutely — and we have since we opened. Same-sex female couples, same-sex male couples, single women and men, and transgender individuals are all fully welcome. We offer donor sperm IUI, reciprocal IVF, donor egg cycles, and gestational carrier coordination. Your family structure is not a special case. It is just your family.
North Carolina does not mandate fertility insurance coverage, so benefits vary by employer plan. Our patient finance team will review your insurance before your first visit and tell you exactly what is covered. We work with financing partners for structured payment plans. Bring your insurance card — and any cost questions — to your first appointment.
We schedule a review visit in person with your physician. We go through every step, look at what the data tells us, and make a clear recommendation for what comes next. Sometimes that is a protocol adjustment; sometimes a deeper investigation; sometimes a different pathway. We do not move forward without a shared decision.
